Earlier today, a representative with Alchemic Dream - who moderate the official forums for Codemasters - posted about the future of events in the European version of Lord of the Rings Online. He said the following:

Rom:

Sorry, all events are cancelled until further notice! Unfortunately ongoing technical issues still won't allow us to run events. The servers are designed to handle this traffic and there should be no problems at all. Therefore it is a matter for investigation where the reason for lags and crashes lies. As soon as the problem is found we will let you know.

Codemasters Community Manager Kyle Rowley contacted WarCry later in the day to clarify the company's position:

Kyle Rowley:

"Please be advised that unfortunately all upcoming events have been put on hold until further notice. We've had a couple of small issues pop up, which we would like to resolve before we get back into the swing of things. We're currently investigating the problem and hope to have a resolution shortly.

In the mean time, our events team are working on some new and exciting events that we're looking forward to hosting for you. We'll keep you updated on the status of all events; so for now, continue exploring Middle-earth and making new friends!"
