BACKGROUND AND IDEALS Ancient Blood is built around the lore and the history of Elves in Middle Earth, however you need not be an Elf to join our little family! "Elves were sometimes called the Firstborn or the Elder Kindred (as opposed to Men, the second born) as they were "awakened" before Men by the creator of the universe, Eru Ilúvatar (God). The Elves named themselves Quendi ("the Speakers"), in honor of the fact that, when they were created, they were the only living beings able to speak." Ancient Blood refers to the generations of Elves in Middle Earth and the fact that they are undying. This Kinship is formed around mature players, experienced in MMO's and starting anew here in Lord of the Rings Online. Most of us are older with kids, lives outside the game, and real life responsibilities that take precedence over game playing. However this does not mean that we won't have a good time in game and seek to level and experience all that Middle Earth can give us. We want YOU to help us forge this Kinship and set it off on the right path Many of us come from past MMO's where we had extensive raid experience and end game leadership roles. Therefore we know the type of community we want here in Ancient Blood and are very selective about who we recruit. Here are some of the things we look for in a member of the Kinship: 1) Politeness and helpful attitude - too many times people got ignored and looked down on in other guilds we were a part of. This needs to stop and we hope to promote a more cooperative atmosphere 2) Power gaming and internal "cliques" kept to a minimum or non existant - We hate to see others be left out due to play times or for being new to online games. Nothing is worse than feeling like you dont fit in, and this Kinship will seek to prevent that. Please be a "team" player above all else 3) Organization - A Kinship must be organized and provide the tools for the community to thrive and through these boards we plan to do that. If you put forth the effort to use the tools given you then the Kinship can be a pleasant experience. We will grow as Turbine allows us to grow. Hopefully they will provide adequate in game tools 4) Mature atmosphere - We like to surround ourselves with outgoing fun people, not beggars and power gamers. Please be aware of this before applying 5) Smart, knowledgable players - While it is ok to be new and ask questions, we want players that can research and contribute to the Kinship, not have their hands held and be a continual burden to the more experienced players. We also look for people that play smart and dont get us killed when Fellowed or raiding 6) Contributors - last but not least we want active message board posters that help foster the community These are the things that this Kinship will work for.
