Mathom: Derived from Old English, in this case the one usually written mağm, “a precious thing, treasure, valuable gift” or as Tolkien put it, "Anything that Hobbits had no immediate use for, but were unwilling to throw away, they called a mathom." We are the House of Mathom. A group consisting of many various valuable and precious people, that we have no particular use for, except to have fun! House of Mathom is a kinship based on people. Our primary objective is to create a thriving environment for our members to enjoy while playing. House of Mathom is made up of a core unit of real life friends that expanded in order to make new friends. We consist of mature yet fun members, and will remain that way. We are a kinship that highly respects keeping a positive presence in the gaming community. Our major focus will always be on honest, honor, integrity, and friendship and will not sacrifice these values for "Hard-Core" raiding or "phat lewtz". While we do plan to try our best to allow for these things inside the kinship, we will not do it at the cost of these values. These values also require a commitment from all of our members to strive to uphold our beliefs. This means we stay away from griefing, camp stealing, harassment, or any other activity commonly associated with a less than honorable kinship or person. Remember our motto at all times, "It's all about having fun!"
